Mawen Global is an advisory and facilitation firm working with corporate affairs and sustainability leaders, philanthropy, and partners to build coalitions with communities and country-level stakeholders. We help our clients build the coalitions, strategies, and partnerships that move resources, shift systems, and create lasting change. Our work spans Fortune 500 companies, international organizations, philanthropies, and government partners across emerging markets and beyond.

Where sectors meet. Where impact follows.

Mawen carries meaning across cultures, and each meaning speaks to the work we do.

It speaks to cultivation and refinement. The patient, deliberate work of building something that lasts. It carries the sense of power and might that comes not from force, but from bringing the right people together around a shared purpose.

That is the work. Bridging the distance between sectors. Bridging the connections that turn fragmented efforts into systems for lasting change.

Anna Thompson-Quaye is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mawen Global. She has spent more than two decades at the intersection of corporate affairs, philanthropy, and global partnerships; engaging C-suite leadership and senior executives, mobilizing capital, and building partnerships for social impact. Her work has spanned several Fortune 500 companies across energy, extractives, life sciences, technology, food and beverages, and financial services, as well as international organizations including Gavi, the WHO, the World Bank, the Global Fund, RTI, and GPE.

The following represents a select set of accomplishments across a career defined by cross-sector partnership architecture and measurable impact. Anna has built and closed a $100M+ financing portfolio spanning corporate, foundation, and development partners, managing the full origination-to-renewal cycle across structured campaigns and individually originated deals, including governance of a 501(c)(3) public charity with full fiduciary, legal, and programmatic oversight.

She has advised corporate clients on CSR program design and led multi-company coalitions producing peer-reviewed publications on social impact, country-level social impact programs, and industry-wide action commitments including a voluntary industry dialogue with leading bednet manufacturers that resulted in sector-wide governance improvements. She has managed complex institutional partnerships and led government and stakeholder engagement through the design and implementation of multi-country programs across sub-Saharan Africa, with full accountability for procurement, supply chain, finance, M&E, and team effectiveness.
